  • Got the exact same message (note that if it can't save a new file, there's no file to use "Get Info" on in Finder)

  • Created a new session (not closing this one), added one software instrument track and an empty MIDI region and then tried to save it.
  • Tried a suggestion from Google to type "sudo chmod -R ug+rwX /Users/username" in a terminal window.
  • While there were permissions repaired, Disk Utility does not touch user folders, where this session is saved.
  • Used Disk Utility to repair permissions.
  • Problem is, the session has always worked, and permissions are fine in Finder. I added some parts to a session today and when I tried to save, I am told that Logic could not save the file, and that "you don't have permission." Additionally Logic tells me to find the session file in Finder and use Get Info to change the permissions.
